The times they are a-changin'

What a great way to start the week!  My flatmate and I decided to have a hedonistic Monday to celebrate her new job...

We spent a delightful evening sipping cocktails, eating lobster, (...on a Monday for crying out loud... a MONDAY - how indulgent!) and catching up on the minutae of our everyday lives...

You'd be suprised how little we actually get to properly catch up with each other considering we share living space!

On leaving, the conversation turned to the details of the contract I've now signed for the new job I'm planning on taking this winter and tentative logistics of dissolving our incredibly over-full two-bedroom flat... It all suddenly seemed more real and a LOT more imminent!

Some more things to add to the list of stuff I'll really miss when I move:

I love the area in the town we live in, I love our flat with my bright, airy attic room and I love living with one of my best friends!

If the mountains will not come to Lindsay, Lindsay must go to the mountains...

Annnnnd she's off!!!!

Yup, you heard!  After much angst and deliberation I'm finally heading back to the mountains: the Portes du Soleil to be precise!!!

Apparently with more over excited exclamation marks than even Jack the Ripper managed! (hrruhummmm...!!!!!)

Currently I'm stuck half-way between spending all my time:

1. Bricking it at the thought of uprooting myself from my family and friends, going back to no money and having to share some very over-crowded living arrangements... (ARGHHHHHHH... Don't mind me while I slope off to hide under the nearest table)

2. An all-consuming massive releif at getting a break from London with it's booze (my liver may never forgive me for moving here), idiot city boys, and endless, grey, stinky cloud of agsty commuter rage

and

3. Excitement at getting back to doing something I love SO MUCH (and here we go with the exclamation marks again!!!!)... whooo hooooooo!!!!

Over this winter I'll be gutted to be missing the birth of "neph-eice number 2" (gender to be revealed) and will miss my play dates with the Fraz-meister General (otherwise known as my uber-cool nephew Fraser)...

So disclaimer: Following posts may start to get a bit tearful in the build up to moving out!

But just think how much fun they'll have coming to visit!  :o)
